What if my child needs emergency care?
We're a PaedsENGAGE partner with KK Women's and Children's Hospital (KKH) and National University Hospital (NUH).
If our doctor assesses that your child needs immediate emergency care, we coordinate the referral directly, provide all documentation, and explain what to expect at the Children's Emergency department.
Families referred through our clinic receive a $50 subsidy on emergency fees through the PaedsENGAGE programme.
You won't navigate urgent care alone, we'll guide you through the transition.
Here's what to expect
We know you've had rushed appointments before. This won't be one of them.

We start by listening
What you've noticed, how long it's been happening, and what's worrying you—before we examine your child.

We examine and explain clearly
Our doctor assesses your child thoroughly and explains what's happening in language that makes sense, not medical jargon.

You leave with clarity
You’ll leave with a clear plan, specific guidance on what to watch for, and a peace of mind.
Frequently asked questions
Choosing Care
We recommend starting with one of our child-friendly GPs, as they are experienced in managing common illnesses such as asthma and fevers. If specialist care is required, we can refer you to a trusted paediatrician. For urgent cases, we can refer you to KKH or NUH under the PaedsEngage programme, which includes a $50 subsidy for emergency referrals.
Child Comfort
You’re not alone. Many children feel that way. Our GPs and nurses take time to engage children gently, explain what’s happening and make the visit comfortable. Parents often tell us their children leave smiling, not scared. We know that a little kindness makes a big difference.
You can let them know they’re going to see a kind doctor who helps children feel better. You can bring their favourite toy or book to keep them comfortable. Our staff will take care of the rest with warmth, patience, and understanding.
Appointments & Scheduling
Yes, we do. We keep daily slots open for same‑day appointments, especially for young patients. Just call or book online and we’ll do our best to see your child as soon as possible.
Cost & Payment
Yes, you can use funds from your Child Development Account (CDA) to pay for your child’s medical consultations, vaccinations, and other eligible services at Virtue Medical.
Care Experience
Absolutely. We follow the Ministry of Health’s recommended immunisation schedule and also provide developmental and growth assessments. Our goal is to support your child’s health from infancy through adolescence.
Most consultations last between 5-20 minutes, depending on your concerns. But here's the thing: we don't cut you off when the timer hits. Your doctor stays until your questions are answered and you feel clear about what's next.
