In this age of fast-paced, compartmentalised sub-specialist healthcare and transactional relationships, we aspire towards the doctor-patient relationship, a core element in the practice of medicine.
This relationship is built on mutual trust and understanding, respect and good communication. We endeavour to be your family physician from cradle to old age.
Our approach is Primary Prevention first and foremost, by improving health literacy and coaching, regular Health screening and timely Vaccinations.
We partner with HealthierSg which is an excellent government-led initiative focused on preventive health to help our patients manage their health, prevent the onset of chronic diseases and live healthier lifestyles.
We aim to provide personalised, cost-effective and accessible care through a dedicated care manager for every patient under our care, utilising government health support schemes where possible, and integrating care with specialists at private and/or public healthcare institutions.
Dr Roger Teo graduated from NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2013. He trained in Internal Medicine for 3 years, but found his calling in primary healthcare. He joined Yim Clinic & Surgery (Tiong Bahru) as a permanent doctor from 2015 onwards, learning the ropes as a Family Physician before deciding to set up his own practice to shape his ideal primary health care.
He obtained the Graduate Diploma in Occupational Medicine in 2018 and is a certified Designated Workplace Doctor (DWD). As a Family Physician, he obtained the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine (GDFM) in 2021.
He is also a visiting doctor to the National University Hospital Accident & Emergency Department to hone his clinical acumen, keep up-to-date with various specialty-knowledge and sharpen his skills in simple surgeries.
In the paediatrics setting, in addition to years of experience as a GP, his work at Mount Alvernia Hospital also provided much experience in treating acute paediatric conditions and semi-emergencies. Dr Roger also has a special interest in Venereology and Men’s health through regular work at a partner clinic, and has completed the Certificate Course in Andrology.
Dr Roger’s clinical interests may be highly varied, but he simply enjoys the human connection through the practice of medicine. It’s a privilege he never takes for granted, for which he still relishes daily. He is cautiously exploring new frontiers such as precision and regenerative medicine, and the harnessing of digital technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide better health.
Outside of his professional life, Dr Roger is a dedicated husband, and father to 3 young children. He squeezes time out for exercise when he can. He enjoys travelling (who doesn’t?) and loves snowboarding. He is also a talented painter/ artist who won the UOB Painting of Year most promising young artist award in 2005, but now mostly does portraits of his family in his free time. Dr Roger serves as Officer Commanding (OC) of the medical company of a Combat Service Support Battalion (CSSB) in the SAF Army.
